Périgord Property
Dear house seekers,
It is now 8 years since I have been working in the property game, from the early days with Perigord Weekend to the Equinoxe Immobilier days in Périgueux and Bergerac and now Périgord-Limousin Properties. I realize that my approach has not changed: a rigorously independent structure based on a good website and well chosen properties gleaned from well established, local partners across a wide area, catering for like-minded people who want a no-nonsense, efficient, bilingual, bicultural approach.
Périgord Property I have sold a good deal of properties from the Lot et Garonne up to the Limousin and I think I must have come across just about every scenario possible in my field. It is impossible to satisfy everyone but I believe most of my customers would agree that I tried my best to ensure the best deal possible. Our policy of not inflating prices is important and it is no surprise that I am reselling many properties. People also appreciate an honest, straightforward manner. There is no point in trickery. The legal system in France protects the buyer (7 days cooling off period, searches, suspensive conditions etc). It is useless to lead a client up the garden path. Moreover, in my opinion, it is far better to use a French notaire (costs are included in notaire fees anyway) than take out contracts with English solicitors whose interpretations are costly, lengthy and often erroneous. Similarly, using a bilingual French estate agent working in France has got to be a better bet than choosing an English agent in England whose knowledge of France is minimal and their French non existent. All they can do is rely on English agents in France (they can't communicate with any others!) and inflate prices to attract vendors. A dead-end solution!

Anyway, if you've got this far, have a good look at the website because an agent is after all only as good as the properties he or she has for sale. If any properties interest you, get in touch with me and I shall try and give you a good idea of how they are situated, whether they are near roads, neighbours, shops etc.... If we have the right property, we shall do our best to ensure the negotiations and the transaction are as smooth as possible. You have all my contact details on the website, don't hesitate to write or pick up the phone.
